Welcome to the Eli Yablonovitch Group Home Page.

Located in the UC Berkeley School of Located in the UC Berkeley School of Engineering, the group is headed by Prof. Eli Yablonovitch, a pioneer in the field of optoelectronics and photonic band-gap research.  Our laboratory is comprised of many talented and dedicated graduate and post-doctoral researchers.  Our work is focused on the exciting, innovative fields of optoelectronics, high speed optical communications, high efficiency light-emitting diodes and nano-cavity lasers, photonic crystals at optical and microwave frequencies, and quantum computing and communication.
